In Ephesians 6:4, Paul calls parents and guardians to “bring up children in the training and instruction of the Lord.” That’s a beautiful—and weighty—calling. Families are invited to raise their children to the glory of Christ: to know Him, love Him, and live their lives for Him.
At the same time, God never intended families to flourish alone. At our Parent Commitment Service, parents and guardians commit to cultivating a home rooted in God’s presence, shaped by Christlike formation, and sent into everyday mission. And the church commits, too—coming alongside each family to pray, encourage, and support them as they nurture faith that can grow and flourish over a lifetime.
During our 4PM service on Sunday, May 31, we will celebrate these families as they commit to raising their children toward a growing relationship with Jesus—learning to trust Him, follow Him, and live out His love in the world. A dessert reception will follow.
A mandatory class will be on May 12 from 6-7:30PM in room D201
