Maria recently had a biopsy on a small growth on her lung, and it has come back as leptic adenocarcinoma, a type of cancer that she can removed surgically due to it's size (it's only 11mm). Even so, they will likely remove large margins so pray as Maria anticipates this surgery. Also pray that she can get care for her dog, Bessie, who is diabetic requires constant monitoring and injections.

I have a few requests. 1-for a thorough (not too lengthy) but good repair of my car (got hit by a delivery truck who couldn’t see me or hear me honking when backing up, driver did get a ticket), 2-new summer job can provide me enough income to help pay my expenses over the summer months, 3-I enrolled my two children for school of choice in a local school district but openings are limited (hoping they can get in this district) and 4-for a good result from my mom’s biopsy she had recently.

After 3 treatments, Eileen has felt some pain relief. She had a PET and is waiting to see if the chemo is working. Please pray that the chemo works, puts Eileen into remission, and diminishes her pain. She's still not able to stand for more than about ten minute.

Grandson Enoch was born last Sunday at 27 weeks gestation, weighing 2.5#. Although he had been rocking it in the NICU earlier this week, he has now taken a turn in the wrong direction. Rich was taken by ambulance this past Sunday after tearing the tendon in his upper thigh. He has been in excruciating pain and was transferred yesterday to Medilodge for at least a month. Please pray for the repair of this tendon (no surgery at this time), as it can be a long and painful process.

We have a housing voucher that expires June 1, and we are trying in every way to find something for housing. We can ask for an extension but the MSHDA has to approve it, and if not, we don't have anything. We have been doing everything we can to keep our family together. Ryann is doing well but there have been a few disappointments in the last week.  She has Retinopathy, something that happens to 50% of preemies. She has stage 1 which is minimal and usually clears on its own. She's gaining weight (now 3 lbs 5 oz), but her breathing has not been as good, and they're unable to remove the c-pap as hoped. Please pray for Abbie & David as they're growing weary--for the strength to finish this journey well, by trusting in God for His strength and power in their lives.

I am in the process of an infant adoption. The baby is now overdue, and I am concerned for both the baby and birth mother. She has had no medical care, is smoking heavily (cig and MJ) and not eating, and the situation is unstable. Pray for Norm who went into Zeeland Hospital on Saturday. He could not get around by himself, he was not himself and had a temperature. I had to call 911 for help 3 different times. When he got into the hospital, they found out he had pneumonia and a very big swollen area above his right knee. This really concerned the doctors. They drew fluid out of the swollen spot and found he is on verge of going septic infection. At 4 pm they are doing a procedure to try to get all of this fluid out.

Kevin Clark (kidney transplant recipient) was recovering well until last night when he went into AFIB. Jane called 911 and he was admitted to the hospital. The cardiologist thinks this was due to the extra strain his Kevin's heart and adjusted his BP meds. This may resolve over time, or Kevin might have to live with an increased heart rate. Pray that Kevin can get off of the Heparin drop today so he can be released from the hospital and that his heart rate returns to normal. Thank you!

My family placed my grandma in a memory care facility this past week and since then she has ended up in the ER twice due to falling and hitting her head. Last year in May, my mother Carol Ewing had a stroke. We learned that she still had a hole in her heart, something she was born with. A Dr. told her 22 years ago that it was gone, which was false, she had a mini stroke back in 2005. After wearing a heart monitor for about the last 6 months, they said she needs heart surgery to close the hole. It's scheduled for Sept. 8th. Pray all goes well. For her to heal well afterwards. And have little to no anxiety about it beforehand.

Marti Smith traveled to Maryland to visit her granddaughters on Saturday and suddenly fell very sick. They went to the ER on Sunday and discovered a 7 mm kidney stone and was in ICU. They installed a stent to remove the infection. She is now feeling pretty well. The stone will be dealt with later when she gets back home on August 22. Please keep her in your prayers for rest, strength, healing, and safe travels.

The chemo did what was expected, and the Dr is says the cancer is in remission. He expects it to return at some point, but it could be months, a year or more. Jon will continue to have scans every 3 months. When/if it comes back there are new drugs that are available & 2 new clinical trials.
